Annual Meeting ; The Annual General Meeting of Mornington Communications Co-operative Limited will be held at the Perth East Recreation Complex in Milverton on Wednesday May 5th, 2010 at 8 p.m. The meeting is open to all members of the co-operative.

Fibre to the Home in Atwood – Construction crews have begun work in Atwood, Ontario connecting the town with Fibre Optics. Fibre allows for greater bandwidth and reliability. Membership Resolution – Membership Resolution – At Mornington’s annual meeting on May 6th, 2009, a resolution was passed which affects membership for the co-operative.

Membership to the co-op, which used to have a geographical restriction, is now available to all of our customers. Now, all customers who spend $20+ /month are eligible to become members and will have the opportunity to have their voice heard and to vote for the board of directors at our annual meeting.

Our board of directors will increase to six directors next year and all members (regardless of location) can run for these positions. Half of the directors must be a resident within the 595 exchange and the other half are allowed to be, but are not required to be, residents outside of the 595 exchange. Due to the Telecommunications Act, all directors are required to be Canadian Citizens.
