| Passwords & User Ids | |
Your User ID is the first part of your e-mail address (yourname@cyg.net) User IDs can be 3-16 characters long. They can not start with a number, contain an underscore and any other special character and are all lower case. Your password is determined by yourself and support when you open your account. Your password is 3-16 characters long and can be a combination of both numbers and letters and can contain both upper & lower case. To change a User ID or password, contact support at 272-0451. Only Cyg.Net can change a user ID or password. |

| Accessing Web Mail | |
| Web Mail from Cyg.Net Internet makes it easy for you to check your email anywhere there is access to an internet connection. View, reply or forward a message, view attachments, send a new email or set up your vacation alert. Check your email at a friend's house, while on vacation or at a meeting in another city. Just remember to take your User ID and Password with you - that's all you need to access your e-mail from anywhere in the world. | |

| Once you have entered into the Web Mail, your will see INBOX and a number. This indicates the number of messages that are there. Click on the number to view the messages. | |
| Newsgroups | |
| Cyg.Net provides access to over 20,000 newsgroups. News Reader software lets you read and post messages, and can be downloaded free from Tucows or ZDNet. Microsoft Outlook can also be configured to read and post newsgroup messages. Cyg.Net's news server is news.cyg.net. | |
